The Mid-Hudson Discovery Center is a 5-10 minute walk from the Poughkeepsie train station. There are hourly trains from Poughkeepsie to Grand Central, the last of which departs at 11:56PM.
If you have an extra day in the area, we highly recommend checking out Beacon for some good food and a lively Main Street. Dia Beacon and Storm King Art Center — two of our favorite art spots — are each about 30-40 minutes from Poughkeepsie by car.
